Sophia Liu, Ph.D. is an Early Independence Fellow and core faculty member at the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT, and Harvard and Associate Faculty at the Broad Institute. Dr. Liu received her bachelor’s degree from MIT in Chemical-Biological Engineering and her Ph.D. from Harvard University in Biophysics in Fei Chen’s Lab, where her research centered on developing methods to study cell interactions and dynamics. Dr. Liu has received numerous awards, including being named a Forbes 30 Under 30, and her research has been supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, Impetus Grants, and BroadIgnite.
